Austin police searching for endangered 47-year-old woman AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department are searching for a 47-year-old woman, adding they are worried about her wellbeing after she was last seen on Sunday in northwest Austin.At approximately 10:46 p.m., the APD Missing Person's Unit was called to assist in finding Kathryn Annette Gragg, after her car and personal items were found abandoned on U.S. Highway 183 near Balcones Woods Drive, according to a news release from APD.Kathryn Annette Gragg | Photos provided by APDAlthough police said Gragg's absence was considered voluntary, they said they were still worried for her well-being, the release said.Here is a description of Gragg released by APD:White female47 years of age5’7” tall145 lbs.Hazel eyesShoulder-length, brown hairShe was last seen wearing a light-colored t-shirt, black pants, and dark-colored tennis shoes.If anyone has any information on Gragg's whereabouts, they are urged to call 911 or APD's Missing Person's Unit at (512) 974-5250.

Greg Abbott is in the Rio Grande Valley Monday, where he's expected to sign border security bills passed during the third and fourth special legislative sessions.Earlier this month the Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 3, a measure that will send $1.5 billion toward further construction of a border wall along the 1,200 mile Texas-Mexico border. In November, state lawmakers also approved Senate Bill 4, which makes it a state crime to enter Texas illegally, giving state and local law enforcement the ability to arrest those who cross between ports of entry. SB 4 will also allow Texas police to effectively deport those who cross illegally, through an order obtained by a state judge. U.S. Marshals make arrest in East St. Louis nightclub murder EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – Last Friday, United States Marshals made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting at an East St. Louis, Illinois, nightclub.The shooting happened on July 24, 2023, at a business in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Drive. The victim, Ryan Morton of Cahokia Heights, had been shot and rushed to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Morton was 43.The East St. Louis Police Department requested the help of the Illinois State Police to investigate the crime. Police cruiser crashes into south St. Louis City bar overnight Over the next five months, agents with the ISP's Public Safety Enforcement Group identified a suspect and presented the matter to the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office for charges.The suspect, Robert Palmer, was arrested in Hazelwood, Missouri, on December 15. Palmer, 38, is awaiting extradition back to Illinois, where he'll face charges of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
