House bill 3935 was approved by the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on June 14 after a House subcommittee tacked on the amendment to alter the age commercial airline pilots have to step down.The Regional Airline Association is supportive of the house bill, stating the age change is “modest” and allows for the retention of more experienced captains, who can in turn fly alongside and mentor new first officers, to stabilize attrition. PACIFICA — A suspect was driving drunk and had two children in his car when he collided with a parked car in Pacifica on Saturday and attempted to flee the scene, leading to his arrest, according to authorities.Police in a news release Tuesday said that officers responded to a report of a non-injury crash about 11:55 a.m. Saturday in the area of Fairway and Seaside Drives. (KRON) -- Over 28,000 customers are being impacted by a power outage in Richmond, according to PG&E. The widespread outage appears to be affecting areas across the city and in neighboring San Pablo. Group of bicyclists rides onto 580 freeway, prompting CHP warning As of now, there is now word on what is causing the outage or when power will be restored. The outage has impacted BART service in the area, with the transit agency reporting a "major delay" due to equipment problems.A PG&E spokesperson told KRON4 that the outage began around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday and that it was impacting about 28,000 customers. Crews are currently on the scene to investigate the cause and to determine an estimated time for power to be restored.This is a developing story. BOSTON (NewsNation) — The five people onboard a missing submersible that was headed for the Titanic shipwreck on Sunday have approximately "40 hours of breathable air left," the U.S. Coast Guard estimated Tuesday.So far, search and rescue teams have been unable to find the vessel which is believed to be about 900 miles east of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. "You're dealing with a surface search and a subsurface search and frankly that makes it an incredibly complex operation," Capt. Jamie Frederick with the First Coast Guard District said at a press conference Tuesday.Now, rescuers are in a serious race against time. As of 1 p.m. Eastern Tuesday, the five people in the sub have about 40 hours before they run out of air. But finding the sub is just part of the challenge. (KRON) -- A routine traffic stop in Hayward led to one arrest and the seizure of a handgun and suspected narcotics, the Hayward Police Department said Tuesday. During the traffic stop, a motorist who was pulled over for a moving violation exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The driver was placed under arrest and the car was searched.During the search, a loaded handgun and suspected narcotics, including suspected cocaine, were found. (KRON) -- A "major delay" has been reported on the Richmond Line, according to Bay Area Rapid Transit. Pedestrian dies in East San Jose hit-and-run collision BART says the delay is a result of a power outage nearby which caused an equipment problem on the track near the Richmond Station. Trains are still running along the Richmond Line, but at reduced speeds, officials said. Some trains are being turned back at El Cerrito del Norte in an attempt to help limit the delays.
