(NEXSTAR) – Costco has removed multiple lots of its popular Kirkland-brand vodka from shelves amid allegations that the spirit is leaving a bad taste in customers’ mouths.In an email sent to customers last week (and shared to Reddit), Costco admitted that recent batches of Kirkland Signature American Vodka sold between June 12 and Aug. 10, 2023, did not meet the company's standards for quality.“It has come to our attention that the taste profile of units marked with certain lot codes may not have met the expected profile normally consistent with this product,” reads a statement shared with Nexstar, and also included in the email. “While not a food safety issue, this does not meet our quality expectations.” Costco crackdown: Can people in my household still use my Costco membership? ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Police are looking for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Norwood Township. Officers from the North County Precinct of the St. Louis County Police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a car at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.The incident occurred at the intersection of Halls Ferry Road and Sun Valley Drive. There is popular terminology used in animal welfare that is particularly divisive and disturbing. When you hear the term “no-kill” shelter, you probably assume that shelter is doing the best thing for the animals in its care.What you might not know is that “no-kill” policies don’t guarantee animals receive the best treatment or even prevent them from dying.
